ACADEMIA PATH:
I graduated from Marylhurst University near Portland Oregon with a B.A. in Human Studies focusing on Expressive Art Therapy and Addiction Studies. I studied with California School of Herbal Studies and Michael Tierra's Planetary School of Herbology blending Ayurvedic, Chinese, and European practices. I completed my M.S. and earned a PhD in Holistic Nutrition with my dissertation about Phytochemical's for Menopausal Woman. I trained in the ways of Hildegard of Bingen with Matthew Fox author of Creation Spirituality and co-led retreats at St Gertude's Monastery. Beginning in the late 1980's while living in Portland Oregon, I attended herbal conferences and trainings with authors Susan Weed Menopausal Years , Rosemary Gladstar Family Herbal, as well as Dr. Rosita Arvigo Mayan Spiritual Purification, author of Sastun based on her experiences with a Mayan elder. In 2001 my Herbs for the Aura Kit one a new product award at the International Herb Festival in Boston Massachusetts.
I had a Natural Health Energy Medicine practice in Moscow Idaho for 30 years consulting and teaching. I hosted the "Ask the Herbalist" Radio show as well as being a guest speaker on Seattle's KIRO and KBIG on the Big Island of Hawaii. Herbal articles have been published in national magazines in the USA and UK as well as local and regional publications.
While living in Idaho I was often a guest teacher at University of Idaho, University of Washington, Moscow School of Massage, YMCA, City of Moscow, and the local hospital.
EARTH WISDOM PATH:
The Atlantic Ocean and woods of New Hampshire were my first teachers. I grew my first 4-H garden at 10 years old Living in Massachusetts. When I moved to southern California, I began gathering herbs wild to create natural remedies as a young mother. For more than 40 years I formulated and manufactured herbal remedies selling them to clients, online and to retail stores under the brand names Middle Path Herbals, Earth Wisdom Herbals, Spirit Herbs and Idaho Herbs.
Developing medicinal herb gardens with others began when I was asked to lead a summer garden program for a local charter school in Moscow Idaho. We created 4 themed raised garden beds. I also developed a Horticultural Therapy gardening program with clients at a local Tribal Drug & Alcohol Program for relapse prevention. I spoke about the success of this program at a National Horticulture Association Convention in New York. Years later I would return to Lapwai to work with tribal youth under a Meth and Suicide Prevention grant where we resurrected the DAP garden and gathered local herbs. Always the learner, I trained in Horse Therapy 2010-2013 in Arizona which prepared me to lead Equine Facilitated Learning programs with the Nez Perce tribal youth and Chief Joseph Foundation Appaloosa horses for 3 summers.
The land and plants drew me to create several sacred geometry gardens over the years. My first was a 35 x 35-foot 3 circuit labyrinth medicinal herb garden. The plants grew to outrageous proportions like the Findhorn experiences in Scotland, where they tuned into the consciousness of the land and plant kingdom for guidance and successful harvests. I've also created medicine wheel and chakra gardens. My latest is a 35 x 35-foot hexagon with 13 – 6-foot circles filled with flowers, food, and medicinal herbs. The geometry is called Metatron’s Cube which balances spiritual and physical elements. I buried 6 Herkimer diamonds, 13 Lemurian seed crystals, and a multitude of river garnets that I gathered in Idaho.
My first shamanic journey was with Brant Segunda of Dance of the Deer Foundation when I lived in Beaverton Oregon. Shortly after, I made my first hoop drum and began attending woman's drumming circles in Portland, Oregon. My telepathic and interspecies connections with the natural world led to Medicine for the Earth training near Sante Fe, New Mexico with author Sandra Ingerman and Shamanic Journeying training with author of Bowl of Light Hank Wesselman. Upon moving to Idaho, I met Nez Perce sisters who invited me to a yearlong sweat lodge experience with wise woman healing ways. I led hoop medicine drum classes for decades in Idaho and Arizona. Blending my experiences and education I developed a yearlong Shamanic Practitioner certificate program under my educational umbrella of Temple of Light.
LIGHT WORKER - ENERGY MEDICINE PATH:
For my own holistic self-care, I started attending yoga classes at Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga California in 1980. My experience with group chanting and meditation began with John Roger's Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness and Astara Mystery School while living near Los Angelos. Over time the effectiveness of yoga, mantra, and meditation led me to complete teacher certificate trainings in Beth Shaw's Yogafit and Kundalini Yoga (most recently trauma informed post lineage). I taught a 1 credit yoga class and NIA (NeuroIntegrative Action) fitness at the University of Idaho for several years. My Bioacoustic Sound Healer training came from attending Tom's sound healing immersive weekend workshops from 2005-2012 and completing a Professional Sound Healer program in Seattle, Washington with internationally known Psychotherapist and Sound Healer, author and teacher Tom Kenyon. I also completed a Gong Avatar training with Sotantar Suraj based in Newport Beach California in 2018.
I attended the Harmonic Convergence at Mount Shasta in 1987, followed by 11:11 gateway activation and trainings in person with Solara, author of the Starborne series. I began exploring consciousness, metaphysics, and intuition development to understand my own path as a highly sensitive person. I was born a highly sensitive person who expanded medical intuitive skills, telepathy, clairvoyant, clairsentient, and clairaudient realms over my lifetime. During Rebirther Practitioner Training (Conscious Circular Breathing), I learned that I was clairsentient when I could feel the physical body pains of my clients in my own body. My teacher Leonard Orr encouraged me to refine my natural gifts and attend Psychic School.
I had formal Energy Medicine training at Portland Healing and Education Foundation aka Church of Inner Light in Portland, Oregon and I graduated from their Clairvoyant Practitioner, Psychic Healer and Ministry programs in 1988. For years I did Psychic Readings (medical intuitive, relationships, past lives, akashic records, tarot) at shows in the Portland area and was hired for corporate parties as a Tarot Card Reader. During that time, I was hired as staff for a Metaphysical Event with actress and author Shirley McClaine in Portland and later that year, as a Rebirthing Coach for a Rev. Terry Cole Whitaker author of Live Your Bliss, event also in Portland Oregon.
When I started doing aura and chakra readings and energy healings, herbs spoke to me about how they could help my clients. Spirit Herbs products were born from the consistency of these experiences. I formulated herbal tinctures, flower essences from the plants that I grew then added gem elixirs that I made from my crystal collection, to create unique vibrational formulations. I also created a line of organic Chakra Teas. Recipes and messages from the plant kingdom are available in my upcoming book Spirit Herbs. The Herbal Tarot spoke to me on multiple levels, and I began incorporating them in my individual sessions and classes to dive deeper into ways to address subconscious and unconscious patterns contributing to physical and emotional imbalance.
For decades I traveled in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, California, and New Mexico teaching about Herbs for the Aura and Chakras at metaphysical bookstores as well as larger fairs such as Los Angeles Whole Life Expo, Portland Whole Life Expo, Sun Valley Wellness Festival, Teton Wellness Festival, Albuquerque Whole Life Expo and Angel Expos including Vancouver Washington.
I founded Temple of Light in 1997 where I taught advanced Lightworker Practitioner Certification programs including,Clairvoyant Practitioner and Psychic Healer Certification (Berkeley Psychic Institute Methods), Shamanic Journey Practitioner Training, Rebirthing & Spiritual Purification Practitioner Training, and Multicultural Interfaith Ministry. I facilitate a range of Reiki Trainings from Practitioner Level I to Teacher Certifications in the tradition of Usui, Karuna Reiki Drumming, and Animal Reiki Trainings with Master classes on the Big Island of Hawaii. Foundational lessons of biofield aura and chakra awareness are woven with holistic health and earth wisdom are in my 3 books Holistic Self Care for Nervous System Support, Empath Wellness I, and Empath Wellness II.
I began swimming with wild dolphins in the open oceans in 1998 near Key West Florida. This supported my work in sound and vibrational healing. For the next 25 years I traveled to the open oceans from Costa Rica, Bimini, to the Big Island of Hawaii for personal healing. In 2013 I began leading retreats to the Big Island and Maui for Dolphin Horse Heart Connections, Reiki Master Practitioner Certificate Training and for Rites of Passages with families and teens. I have also had the pleasure of being in the open oceans with wild sea lions off the coast of La Paz Mexico, manarays of Hawaii, and manatees of Florida. I love any experience where interspecies communication is involved.
As a clairaudient person, I receive songs from the land since 1993. They spontaneously come to me. I have written some of them down and share them in medicine drum circles and earth wisdom ceremonies. I enjoy creating earth mandalas as part of an earth reverence and elemental healing tradition.
As a life learner in metaphysics, consciousness expansion, and holistic self care my medicine bag also includes Taoist practices. I studied Universal Tao with Mantak Chia author of many books including Cosmic Healing while living in California. I training in Qi Gong Self Massage and Tai Chi at Genesee Valley Taoist Hermitage in Genesee Idaho with Charlotte and DaJin Sun. As well as adding these to my regular self-care, I include relevant practices in my Holistic Self Care books and classes.

I offer one-one sessions via zoom and in person. Most clients seek out my expertise in clairvoyant energy medicine to discover and process the source of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual pain. Seeing the root cause, including past lives, allows the lessons to come to the conscious mind. The old stuck patterns and cords are broken, they can be processed and integrated as part of the Soul's journey.
