Dr. Linda Grace Kingsbury teacher, consultant and author teaches you to build your health naturally. Focusing on nervous system support with holistic medicine for the whole family. Her medicine basket is filled with a variety of natural health skills gathered over 40 years consulting and teaching primarily in California, Oregon and Idaho.
Her education achievements includes a B.A. in Human Studies, focusing on expressive arts therapies and addiction prevention. She earned a M.S. and Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition with her doctoral dissertation on Phytochemicals for Menopausal Women in 2004. She has worked in the field of Holistic Nutrition since 1979 when she was trained as a Nutrition Assistant at Jack LaLane’s Health Club in Upland, California. She comes from a lineage of women gardeners and had her first 4-H garden when she was 10 years old. As a child she also grew flowers for the local Horticultural Society events.
For over 40 years she formulated premium herbal products with herbs she grew organically and gathered wild in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. She was a guest speaker on Seattle’s KIRO radio and Kona Hawaii’s KUOI, Dr. Kingsbury hosted “Ask the Herbalist” radio program on Moscow, Idaho station KRFP. She has published herbal articles in local, regional, and national publications including Shape Magazine; Body, Mind, Spirit Magazine; and Planetary Citizen Magazine.
Her popular Herbal Wisdom Classes are taught at Monadnock Food Coop and Aloha Keene. She taught at St Gertrude Monastery in Cottonwood, Idaho about the Herbal Medicine of Saint Hildegard of Bingen. She has been a guest teacher for the Plants & People class at Washington State University, YWCA, University of Idaho community enrichment, and Latah County employee wellness programs. Dr. Kingsbury has been a guest speaker at events nationwide in the USA including Teton Wellness Festival, Sun Valley Wellness Festival, Portland Mind Body Expo, Albuquerque Whole Life Expo, Los Angeles Whole Life Expo, and Oregon Holistic Festivals since 1990. Beginning in the summer of 2024 she will be teaching Edible and Medicinal Plant Identification Walks and other Natural Health courses in New England.
She has also worked in the Behavioral Health field focusing on Addiction Relapse Prevention. She spoke at a Horticultural Therapy Society National Convention in New York about her projects with the Nez Perce Indian Tribe Drug and Alcohol program herb gardens.
Her hobbies include swimming with wild dolphins in open oceans, devotional dance, and enjoying God's creation in wild spaces.
